Promoting Learning and Positive Behaviour at Home – (Resource 1). This resource is the first in a series of 7 booklets to support positive behaviour at home. This behaviour support pack aims to develop an understanding of behaviours of concern. The pack outlines (a) some of the reasons why a child or young person might be displaying behaviours of concern, (b) offers some useful strategies on how to prevent this behaviour(s) and (c) gives guidelines on how to de-escalate behaviour when it reaches crisis levels.

This booklet is aimed at children and young people who are learning to become more responsible in their everyday lives by practicing negotiation skills. It provides advice on how to set up an agreement, also known as a contract, between a child or young person and an adult.
