D15 ACAT – Central Application for Autism Class Placements

About the Process

The D15ACAT is a Central Application Process for parents/guardians seeking places in Autism Classes in the Dublin 15 area.

This allows parents/guardians to submit one application form directly to the NCSE. On this form, you can indicate which of 17 participating schools you wish to apply to.

Please note: Participation in this trial does not guarantee a school place.

How to apply

You may apply in one of the following ways:

  • Online: An online form is available on the NCSE website or the websites of participating schools D15ACAT Online Form
  • By Post: Send completed form to NCSE D15 ACAT, NCSE Offices,4th, Floor Metropolitan Building, James Joyce Street, Dublin 1, D01 K0Y8.
  • By Email: Send completed form and supporting documents to parentsupport@ncse.ie

Documents you Will Need

You must include the following with your application:

  1. A professional report confirming a diagnosis of Autism, and a recommending a special class placement
  2. Proof of address – two separate documents
  3. Child’s birth certificate
  4. Letter of Eligibility from NCSE

Applications cannot be processed without these documents.

Application Window

Applications window opens 1st October 2025
Applications window closes 31st October 2025 @ 11.59pm  
Applications notified of decision 21st November 2025
Applications must confirm acceptance 28th November 2025

 

Please note that participation in this trial does not guarantee a school place.

There are other schools in the D15 area with autism classes, but only those listed on the admission notice and on application form are participating in this trial.
