D15 ACAT – Central Application for Autism Class Placements
About the Process
The D15ACAT is a Central Application Process for parents/guardians seeking places in Autism Classes in the Dublin 15 area.
This allows parents/guardians to submit one application form directly to the NCSE. On this form, you can indicate which of 17 participating schools you wish to apply to.
Please note: Participation in this trial does not guarantee a school place.

How to apply
You may apply in one of the following ways:
- Online: An online form is available on the NCSE website or the websites of participating schools D15ACAT Online Form
- By Post: Send completed form to NCSE D15 ACAT, NCSE Offices,4th, Floor Metropolitan Building, James Joyce Street, Dublin 1, D01 K0Y8.
- By Email: Send completed form and supporting documents to parentsupport@ncse.ie
Documents you Will Need
You must include the following with your application:
- A professional report confirming a diagnosis of Autism, and a recommending a special class placement
- Proof of address – two separate documents
- Child’s birth certificate
- Letter of Eligibility from NCSE
Applications cannot be processed without these documents.
