Welcome to the application process for sustained in-school therapy support.
What is Sustained In-School Therapy Support?
Sustained in-school therapy support is a model of school support and teacher capacity building provided by NCSE. As part of this model, NCSE Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists work in partnership with school staff to support the inclusion, participation and wellbeing of all students. The model aims to build the capacity of the school and its staff to plan, implement and evaluate educationally relevant, evidence-informed interventions and strategies at whole class or whole school level.
Submitting an Application for Sustained In-School Therapy Support
To submit an application for sustained in-school therapy support, login to the NCSE School Support Portal below. Create a new support ticket and select ‘Sustained In-School Therapy Support’ from the ‘Type’ menu. Attach your completed application form.
Please note in order for your application to be considered your school:
- Must attend ‘NCSE Sustained In-School Therapy – Webinar’
- Must be located in Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow.
- Must complete the application form in full.
- Must submit the application form before 3pm 28th May 2024.
Completing the application form:
- Download and complete the form using Microsoft word.
- Save your application as a pdf with the file name: School Roll Number _NCSE Therapy Application. For example, 00001B NCSE Therapy Application.
- All completed application forms must be submitted via the NCSE school support portal. Applications received by post, email or personal delivery will not be processed.
- If you have any issues downloading or submitting the application form, please contact therapy@ncse.ie.
To ensure equitable decision-making, we are unable to assist with the completion of the application form in any other way.
NCSE will use resource-based and consensus decision-making, to prioritise a set of schools for NCSE Sustained In-School Therapy Support.
Your school will be notified by August 2024 on the outcome of your application.
