Recruitment of Visiting Teachers to the NCSE Support Service (Secondment Opportunities)

The National Council for Special Education (NCSE) seeks applications from suitably qualified teachers to work as a Visiting Teacher for children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing or as a Visiting Teacher for children who are Blind / Visually Impaired for the 2021/2022 school year.

The appointments are on a fixed-term (temporary) basis. The posts may be filled by secondment.

Applications are invited for vacancies for Visiting Teachers for children who are Blind / Visually Impaired and Visiting Teachers for children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing in the 2021/2022 school year.  Candidates may apply for more than one team.

Please note that the closing date for this competition is 12 pm (midday) on Friday 19th February 2021.  Candidates should email completed application forms to hr@ncse.ie.

NB. It is anticipated that interviews will take place in mid-March 2021 and will be conducted via Skype.

Please note that assignments from this competition may be filled on a secondment basis, in compliance with Department of Education and Skills circular CL 0029/2018, which states that secondment applications are limited to registered teachers employed in approved teaching posts in recognised primary and post primary schools funded out of monies provided by the Oireachtas.
